Wind made me revisited Food truck "Yellow Bird Cafe".  "Yellow Bird Cafe" reminds me of a moment when I had a 1st chance to talk in Japanese last year since I have moved down to Edmonton.

Once again it feels me being in almost in a year of cycle since I started this blog.

 

という訳で、本日は、風が強くなったので、風来坊でフードトラック"Yellow Bird Cafe"　さんを訪れてみました。 実は、"Yellow Bird Cafe"と言えば、私にとっては、去年初めてエドモントンに来て以来初めて日本語をお話する機会を与えてくれたフードトラックでした。やはり、エドモントンでの１周を思わす瞬間でした。

 

I was glad to have a chance to see them. The difference between last year and this year were:

そして、今年もこうして道端でお会いできて嬉しかったです。去年と今年はちょっと違った点がありました。

 

1. I talked to : "Wife Ayumi san" last year, "Husband Masa san" this year.
2. I feel Masa san : "Quiet" last year, "Talkative if I give talking." this year.
3. Menu : "Italian" last year, "Japanese" this year.
4. Place : "Stable" this year, "Mobile" this year.

• その1　お話の相手:去年「奥さん」　今年「旦那さん」
• その2　旦那さん:去年「中に居て、おとなしいなぁ。」今年「ちょっと話すと、実はよく話すなぁ。」
• その3　メニュー:去年「イタリアン」　今年「和風」
• その4　出張場所:去年「どちらかというと定位置」　今年「よりモバイル」

ここで、少し私も振り返ってみたいと思います。一度「なぜ、人は旅をするのだろうか?」と問いかけた事があります。

 

そして、私の中の答えにも違いがありました。

• 去年:「現地の人がしている事をウォッチングしながら楽しむ」
• 今年:「その人に再会する、特別な瞬間に再会する」　

The following are what I thought about food truck boom expanding.  Personality comes on the top of the list above food taste, marketing etc...It makes a difference as a personal connection in a long run since I put more value on personality.  What personality? "Pleasant?" "Fluent speaking?" Whatever would come on the top depending on you as many as people are here. I rather like "Honest, just like being as it is, as you are."  I sense he is one of them at a quick seeing.

これは、私の意見ですが、更にフォーカスして人柄に触れるというのがあるのではないかと思いました、きっとフードトラックなどは、日進月歩で味もさながら、やはり宣伝力も必要かと。しかしながら、長い目で見た時、やはり口コミな要素が物を言ってくるのではないかと思いました。それは「人柄」であると思います。こればかりは、相性もあり一概には、何がいいかなんて断言できたものではないのですが。愛想がいいとか、よくしゃべる、とかより、私は「飾らない正直なそのまんま」に価値を置きたいなぁと思います。Masa さんも、どちらかとういうとそんな方ではないか、と思いました。チラッとだけお会いさせて頂きましたが。

along with lots of restrictions & conditions.

• Food truck is for pedestrian?

Yes.  Also is for drivers & people in a car. Just like drive-through.

 

これは、私が今日学んだ事。

 

• その1　フードトラックを営むには、色んな条件や規約、顧客のニーズを考慮しながら、グッドタイミング&バランスでメニューの割り振りや場所を選ぶ必要があるという事でした。
• その2　フードトラックは、実はモバイルドライブスルーにもなるよ。でした。この点は今まで全く気づきませんでした。どちらかというとオフィス街のランチ、公園の子供達のランチ、ナイト、ファーマーズマーケットの出し物、イベントでの出し物、というイメージしかなかったのですが。

おっと、肝心な食べ物の紹介忘れてました。
今日は、loco moco　& egg。道の模様がついてました。他にも、焼肉ラップなどあり。デザートも日によってあり。メニューを臨機応変に変えてます。

 

 



 Masa san came on this road with a food truck via Mikado Restaurant from somewhere. Someone might come on a Izakaya tapas via Mikado Restaurant from somewhere.  One place will lead to this way and that way. 

Masaさんは、エドモントンにある日本食レストランを経て、フードトラックを経営されたそうです。日本食レストランを経て、別の日本居酒屋を経営される方も居たりします。一つの場所から、こうして人生道がわかれていくのだなぁ。を思いました。

I wasn't expect to get this material today since I visit one of registries for the other reason.
However I had a chance to see a bit about Alberta Driver's License and so like to introduce a quick summary. "How it works? in Alberta..." I recently just have been hearing friends'story somehow.  I was not still clear about that. Discovery on the day of applying for SIN card - SINカード申請日の珍道中

SIN card in Canada?

To apply for province medical, you need SIN number. To work, you need SIN number. This will let you to stand at a start line in Canada. 

1st I like to talk about application for SIN card after permanent residence via family class in Edmonton. This was quite quick process. I took a way of process in person.

Where I visit is Service Canada on 9700 Jasper Ave located in downtown.

When I entered the building, I head to information booth since lots of sections were on the main floor. The way to go was the section at the end on right side. I saw a line of people.  I joined in it and my turn came.  When I requested application for SIN card showing a paper proof of landing (as still my PR card is on a way), a lady gave me a small sheet of form.
 
What I filled up is my mother's full name at birth and my father's and present address. A bit curious about  why? parents' information in a long distance.  Maybe because of family class?  Never mind.

Sooner or later, a man called my first name and took me to a counter booth.  When we sat, he introduced his name and started with paper work.  Just several simple questions such as "1st time to apply?" "What is postal code?" "Any question?"etc. About 10 minutes and every thing was done.  The card will be coming in about2 weeks.  Process itself was very simple and first.

本日、早速SIN カードを申請してきました。SINカードって?

カナダでの社会保険番号です。医療をうけるにも、働くにもすべてはここから始まります。今回は、ファミリークラスで移民した後の、SINカード申請のお話をさせて頂きます。手続きはいたって簡単、シンプル。

訪れた所はここエドモントンダウンタウンにあるService Canada。住所は9700 Jasper Ave。ビル内に入ると、たくさんのセクションがずらり。とりあえず、中央にあるインフォメーションセンターに行く事に。行くべきところは、その先をずっと通り越して、右手側一番終わりのセクションになります。人が並んでいるので、私も混じらせて頂く事にしました。順番が来たので、一言「最近移民になったばかりなのですが、SINカードを申請したいです。」と。すると係員の方が「永住カードは?｣と。私の場合もうじき郵送で来るので、かわりにその証明になる用紙を添えました。その後は、小さいフォームを渡され「記入して名前を呼ばれるまで待ってて下さい。」と。何を記入するのかな?と思ったら、なぜか、両親の生まれた時のフルネームでした。ちょっと「えっ何でこんな情報が?」と不思議に思いましたが。あとは、現住所でした。しばらくして、別の係員に名前を呼ばれ、その方についていく事に。ついていった先は、カウンセラーブースのひとつ。お互いに座ったら、「僕の名前は～～～」と軽い紹介から始まり、2~3の簡単な質問がなされました。「申請は初めて?」「郵便番号は?」「他に質問は?」等々。SINカードは2週間程で郵送されてくるらしいです。おおよそ、10分程であっという間に終わりました。それよりも、実はこの手続き中、重大な事に気づいてしまい、気がそわそわ。それは。。。

During this process, my mind was quite stirring for some reasons. I discovered "No house key" "No cel phone" in my purse. "Oh my god, really? That doesn't sound good..."  I don't know why this happened. But it happened. I always ask to make sure to the other "You got cel phone, house key?"  Today I was the one who missed all of those.

So the other story today is
What if you left house key and cel phone behind in the house?

Answer is not only one.  But for sure simple enough, you better remember any contact number that comes in first in your mind. That will lead you eventually to get any help in emergency. Or getting a list of memo. Better to just wait for time to pass by.
 
That was my fault and it was worth to have such an inconvenient experience. I felt embarrassed myself and yet there was no time to stay in that state. Without any help and cooperation of people, I couldn't make it. Thanks to my husband, owner of my unit, condominium building management staff and people on my way of all who communicated and helped me today, I am at home now. Also I had such a lot of thinking of "how I should do?" to correspond with more than 3 people in 3 different places without any civilized tools.  How thankful it is to have a good owner of unit when I rent it.  This is some of what I learned today.

I actually detoured to get into the condo building and home since I didn't know emergency buzz number to a building management.  For this reason, I first traveled to find a pay phone to ask help to make a phone call.  "Hotel or shopping mall must have it"  Surprisingly or I should have known it... Not so many have pay phone any more nowadays. Luckily the pay phone at Fairmont Hotel Macdonald worked for help 1st. I was panicked calling while hearing their ambassador dog calling. I could use $1,$5,$10,$25 coin, credit card. Afterward a couple more time to call... I moved around to make another calls believing easy to find a pay phone.  It turned out to be that not at all or some didn't work properly. Eventually I reached public library through customer desk at city center shopping mall. A staff showed one pay phone downstairs. By the time, timing was good and I was ready to go home by running for some reasons.   

カバンを何気に探ったら、家の鍵もない、携帯もない。という事態が。「えっ、まさか。」と思い、何度か探りましたが、やはりない。という訳で、お恥ずかしい失態話をさせて戴きます。人にはこっぴどく言うのに、今日は私がまんまと忘れてしまいました。自分でも何で、よりによってダブルで忘れるか?と問いかけてみたものの、後の祭り。

「家に、鍵と携帯を忘れたらどうしたらいいんだろう?」の巻き。

答えは、ひとつではないのですが。普通に考えると、単純に「ここぞという時の電話番号は頭に覚え込んでおく事」だと思います。最近はツールにいったん、登録すると番号を見なくてもかけれるので。。。ひとつ番号があれば、数珠繋ぎに、ヘルプデスクにたどりつけるのでは。。。と思います。もしくは、メモっておく。日が暮れるのを待つよりずっといいです。

自分のせいで人をまき込んでしまってご迷惑をおかけする事に。コンドミニアムの緊急ブザー番号を知っていたら、こんな遠回りはしなかったような気もします。しかしながら、普段何事もなく過ごしているとわからないかもしれない発見もありました。今回、あっという間に、家に入れたのも、夫、家のオーナー、コンドミニアム管理スタッフ、道中で質問に答えてくれた方々のヘルプのおかげでした。感謝の嵐です。

そして、「どうしよう。。。」とあせりつつも、パニックになってる暇はなく、「携帯やスマホなしに、タイミングよくどうやって連絡をとったらよいのだろうか?」と頭をかかえました。がとりあえず、公衆電話を探す事に。運よく、出くわしたFairmont Hotel Macdonaldに、訪れると「奥にありますよ。」との事。救われた気がしました。ここのホテルの大使犬の鳴き声をききながら、第1コールをする事ができました。ここから先、数回はタイミングをみてコールをする必要があったのですが、じっとしていたらいいものを、動きまわってしまいました。公衆電話なら簡単に見つかると思い込んでたのです。こんなに苦労するとは思いませんでした。「ホテルやショッピングモールならあるだろう。」と思っていたら、ないです。当たり前と言えば当たり前なのかもしれませんが、最近は、便利なツールが普及した時代。途中、数箇所あったと思ったら、うまい事、動いてくれず。。。結局最後に、タイミングよくあったのが、ダウンタウンの図書館の地階にある穴場な公衆電話でした。スタッフが教えてくれました。無事コンドミニアム内に入れて、家のドアもあける事ができる為のラストコールをする事ができました。

 In the last, I have a small question for a rare case, probably 1% out of 100. Living without any mobile tools must be very obsolete idea however I wonder if every one has a mobile phone.  what if people or traveller without the tools must use phone on the street or in public for some reasons?  That must be very... I just imagined.

スマホ、携帯をもってるのが当たり前で、こんなケースに時間をかけてる暇はないんだよ。というのが今のご時勢なのはわかります。が、この稀なケースを経験して、ふと疑問に思いました。全員が全員、本当にモバイルツールを持っているかな?と。もし、持ってない人、海外から来た旅行者が、ホテルの中ではなく、道端や通りや、公の通り道で、どうしても電話をする用があった時、大変だろうなぁ。と。

今日は、びっくりしたし、走ったなぁ。

1 Year Old?

1歳?

While walking, "Oh toucan!".  That's one of my favorite bird.  I don't have to tell you the story.  But still I like to tell.  When I was a kid, I was quiet and yet stepping feet and jumping somehow with a music.  That music was by Walter Wanderley.  It was actually not my choice but my parents'.  I even didn't know what kind of music or who the artist was.   Only thing I kept saying was "The song of big beak!".  The album face had a toucan on it.  That's my memory. 

「あっ、オオハシ!」歩いてる時偶然見つけたParadise Grill。オオハシは私のお気に入りの鳥のひとつ。何でかと言うと。。。話さなくてもよいのですが、話させていただきます。まだ私が小さい頃の話になります。おとなしいながら、とある音楽がなるといつも足をステップさせたり、飛び跳ねたりしていたそう。その音楽は、Walter Wanderleyさんのボサノバオルガンの曲。アルバムジャケットに、この鳥オオハシが載ってたのです。その頃は、誰が、何のジャンル、も何も知らず、「大きいくちばしの鳥の曲!」とだけ叫んでました。両親の選曲でした。

This is just behind the story by the way. Paradise Grill opened last year the owner said.  I opened this blog last year too.  Just familiar feeling and I like to introduce it.  They will be at Legislature on July 1 Canada Day and also at Churchill Square on A Taste of Edmonton Next month.   When I came across them, they were preparing.  I will catch up later.

そんな訳で、このトラックに親近感を覚えました。ちなみに、トラックの準備をしてる方に聞くと、昨年オープンされたそう。ついでに私も、このブログを始めたのが昨年で、何だか嬉しかったです。近々の彼らの予定ですが、7月1日カナダデーにアルバータ州議事堂にて、更に来月A Taste of Edmonton  にて。ちょうど準備中だったので、私は次回に期待したいと思います

The Works - Design & Art Festival Day 4 - アート＆デザインフェスティバル 4日目

Seems to be that not many people know about its history.  I was one of them and I am lucky to be part of  this festival this summer.  Almost 30 years old. Yes. The Works Art & Design Festival has been on-going for almost 30 years. I'm surprised to come across people from some other provinces like Montreal, Vancouver and more.  Not only local but also a nationwide event. Some people are really looking for specific art exhibition. People who are interested in art and design very much travel to see it.  People knows good one.  Hanging around over food & music... that's ok too. Just stopping by... that's ok too.  Int'l Jazz festival is sharing the stage 12:00 - 14:00 at Churchill square this week. 

このThe Works Design Art Festival、何気に由緒あるフェスティバルだったんですね。最初にこのダウンタウンで開催されたのが、1986年だそうです。私のエドモントンでの歴史はまだまだぺぇぺぇで、1年。そう考えると、この夏ここでこのフェスティバルにお邪魔できるのがラッキーかなぁ。なんて思えます。驚いた事に、ローカル色の強いイベントかと思いきや、会場に来ているお客様達は、はるばるモントリオールやバンクーバーといったよその州から来ていたり。はたまた旅行中の人であったり。やはり芸術の好きな方は遠出しても見に行きたいものがあるようです。やはりいいものは知る人ぞ知る。でした。もちろん食べながら飲みながらぶらぶら音楽聴くのもよし。。。ちょっと顔を覗いてみたなんてのもよし。。。そしてインターナショナルジャズフェスティバル、ここエドモントンでも開催中。今週（金曜日迄）はステージをアートワークスさんとシェアしています。時間は12:00 - 14:00に来れるといいですね。

楽しい2日目でした。

The Works - Design & Art Festival - アート＆デザインフェスティバル

The theme this year is Human Energy. For me it is hard to explain with words.  But probably I would say the artworks that cannot be done without human. When you come, you can be part of each art.  Something that can be done by its interacting with you. Looks like it is still in process. Fortunately or unfortunately rainy and chilly weather in Day 1. Hopefully it will be ready fully for sunny and weekend.
デザイン・アートフェスティバル。何をやるのだろう? と思われる方もいるのでは。要は、芸術品、芸術展示品、絵画、アートフィルム、ライブミュージックを披露するコーナー。いわゆる、エドモントンローカル、及びアルバータ州にこんな作品を創るアーティストがいるのだよ。というのをお知らせする場ですかね。更にその作品をシェアする場。今年のテーマは、ヒューマンエナジー。少し漠然としてますが。これもアートならでは。言葉で説明するのは難しいです。あえて言うならば、あなた（人）が来て初めて、完成する作品、展示品、絵画がたくさんあります。と言うわけで、実は会場も細かいところは徐々に準備中な感じでした。今日はあいにくの雨と風。晴れの日、週末にむけて、完成していくといいですね。

Lunch & Cafe - お昼の一時

Today I hit MRKT for lunch. Actually this was one of my friend's suggestion. She couldn't make it today for some reasons. There is always next time.
  
It's just on Jasper ave which is main ave in downtown. I wondered if people could possibly miss that spot from the long distance since their sign is just slightly white in the window compared to the neighbor's colorful one. But that's a waste of thinking.  People know good one already. By the time of sipping & munching, seats were filled with people. Signature at lunch time is soup made from  scratch. They have rotated menu for soup every some weeks... I think.  You have 3 choice. There is a set menu of Soup & Salad or Soup & Sandwich. Good to go for lunch there. Also you may like to sip wine there in the evening.  

本日は、MRKTにランチへお出かけしてきました。実は、一人の友人の提案だったのですが、急用で来れなくて残念でしたが。美味しかったよ。

場所はダウンタウンの目抜き通りJasper Ave沿い。遠くからだと見落としがちです。お隣の店の看板が非常に派手で、真ん中に位置するMRKTはガラスに薄っすら白いペイントだけ。看板が見えないのに大丈夫なんだろうか? なんて余計なお世話を。しかしながら、そんなばかげた心配はいらないのが、店で食べてるとわかります。ランチ時に行ったのですが、気が付いたらすごい人が座ってました。いいものは、知っている人はちゃんと知っているんですね。さて、お昼のお薦めは、何週間ごとかに替わる、3種類のホームメイドスープ。スープ&サラダ/　スープ&サンドイッチ　のセットがあります。ランチにもいいし、夜にワインをチラッといただけるもこれまたよし。って所です。

After lunch, a bit of slow time went on at Remedy Cafe.
When entering, aroma of spice touched on me. This cafe specializes in Indian food and drink.
I was supposed to fully full however my eyes were so busy to watch the other plates that people ordered. Honestly it made me hungry again. I just thought the combination of visual & aromatic effect are such a powerful impact on human's mind.  Of course, that is only the case when the aroma is your favorite. 

そのまま、少しまったりな時間をカフェで過ごす事に。Remedy Cafeに入った瞬間、スパイスの香りがふぅっと包み込んでくれました。　こちらのカフェは、インド系の食べ物、ドリンクがメイン。お腹がいっぱいのはずだったのですが、人のオーダーを見ているうちに、正直お腹がすいてしまいました。やはり、アロマと視覚の刺激って大きいですね。もちろん、自分の好みのアロマの場合ですが。

Hello - こんにちは

"This could be Episode2 ?" 

I found myself running into 2nd summer in Edmonton. Time flies.  First of all, who I am is same:) and yet something new makes a difference in this summer already for me.  Thanks to every one's support, I find myself being where I am now. 

"Head Smashed in Buffalo Jump?" "Writing On Stone Park?" "I've heard about that since sightseeing spots that Alberta recommends for this summer." Yes.  Those were just on the road to my permanent residence of procedure at Canada & U.S border.  So I like to start with findings about South Alberta sightseeing spots as a new comer in Canada.

さりげなく、登場?

時は、速いもので、エドモントンで2年目の夏を迎える事になりました。私自身は今も昔も同じなんですが、去年の夏は初めてでワクワク。今年の夏もなぜかまた初めてでやっぱりワクワクします:)「いつの間にかここに居る」なんて思えるのも、皆様のサポートのお陰です。と言うわけで、移民最終の手続きの為にアメリカ国境に行く事がありました。

ちょうど、これまた道中に、アルバータ州夏のお薦めスポットが点在してまして、駆け足ながらちょこっと寄ってきました。感想、を書きがてら、エピソード2を新カナダ移民として始めたいと思います。それではよもやま話のはじまりはじまり。

Lethbridge...

It is good idea to hub Lethbridge which is about 5 hour drive from Edmonton. Lethbridge is 1 size smaller than Edmonton with options of dining, staying, sightseeing, historical site and festivals. It's 1~2hours drive away from  some of world heritage sites. Residences seemed to be new?! On a road, green with red skin lands captured my eye. If time allows, staying in a camp at national park would be great option of course.

Edmontonからだと正直、5時間はかかる、Lethbridge。Edmontonを一回り小さくした規模の市ですが、ホテル、レストラン、観光スポット、ジャズフェスティバルなどもあるきれいな街です。 ここを拠点に西へ東へはたまた南へ、1~2時間で行けるスポットがたくさんあります。Writing On Stone Park と　Head Smashed in Buffalo Jumpもそのうちのひとつ。時間のある方は、国定公園のキャンプ場で泊まると更によいと思います。

Writing On Stone Park ...


This is a very good place where you imagination will be stirred as one picture writing on the stone possibly has several meaning.  Some of them have certain translation while most not. It's up to you somehow. For example, you see this picture, this could be a human playing with rope or carrying something...

この石に描かれた壁画。ずばり想像力をかきたててくれます。「これ」と決まった翻訳がある壁画もありますが、ない物もたくさん。例えば、この壁画。私は「これ、縄跳びしてるよなぁ。」と思いましたが、人によっては、「天秤をかついでいるなぁ。」と言うように。

Bottom line is this site used to be a sacred spot where spirit comes and people visit to communicate with. When I took a photo of flowers, one lady talked to me,"do you like flowers?" She talked about flower festival in the other city of South Alberta as she likes flowers. Interesting is that we are nowadays doing the same, you see. A guide lady talks about translation, story behind, geography etc.  When you ask, she has lots of answers. By the way, she looked like Jody Foster for me.

Taking photos are welcomed except touching.  Bring a camera with good lens or binocular as some of them are up high. It's a kind of trail walking with plants, flowers and possibly snakes in sunny dry weather with wind. Prepare yourself with a bottle of water, sunglasses,long pants, wind jacket and comfy shoes with toe covered. In the trail course, there are some benches so that you can sit and rest too. Peaceful, mysterious and powerful spot.

ただ一つだけ、言えるのは、ここはその昔とても神聖な場所で、スピリットが降りる所とされたそう。そのスピリットとコンタクトをとる為に、人々は訪れたそうです。今の時代も結局気が付いたら同じ事してるんでは？　私が近辺のお花を撮っていたら、一人の女性に「お花好きですか？」と言われました。きっと彼女も好きなのか。「アルバータの南部の都市でお花のフェスティバルをやってるわよ。」と会話してくれました。ガイドの女性の方は、壁画の解釈、それにまつわる物語、地理的なこと等々を、細かく説明してくれます。聞けば、山ほど答えてくれます。私が行った時のガイドさんは、Jody Foster似の方でした。ベッキーさんだったかな？
触らない限りは、写真撮影ok。双眼鏡や、望遠カメラがあるといいです。高い所にある壁画も登場するので。ならではのお花や、植物、（たまに蛇も出るかも?!）雄大な空間を楽しみながらのちょっとした90分程のトレイルになります。風と日差しが強く、乾燥しているので、ウィンドジャケット、水、サングラス、帽子、トレッキングorウォーキング靴、長袖長ズボン必須。途中、座れるベンチもあります。のどかながら豪快な風景。まだまだ未知数のパワースポット。他にも、夕方のツアーなどあります。

Head Smashed in Buffalo Jump ...

This used to be a site where people drove buffalo to jump over cliff only to be dead. It sounds awful but both people and animal were always facing to a moment of dead or alive in the old days. There is story behind about a brave man too.  Head Smashed... is named after that story. On the contrary to the past history, scenery and atmosphere are very open, peaceful and comfortable. I didn't go in actually since it was before opening hours when I visit. I can only talk about its entrance and trail open to public. I had a nice meeting with cute animal. "As far as I can see" view are quite common in Alberta when you drive.   The view from entrance of Head Smashed... makes me return to myself. More to enjoy when you enter.  

この高台に立つと、見渡す限りなんてだだっ広いんだと感じるはず。余計な物がないんです。思わず我に戻ります。これと裏腹に、ここはかつて、人々がバッファローを捕まえる為に、崖っぷちに追いやっていた殺伐とした所でした。昔は、人も動物も命を懸けた真剣勝負だったんでしょうね。この地の名前は、当時の勇敢な男性の物語にちなんでつけられたそうです。実は、開園前に到着したので、入り口からつながるトレイルをちょこっと、お散歩してきました。入り口では、愛くるしい動物とご対面。開園中は、フィルム上映や、プレゼンテーションも楽しめます。Caution! Wild animals。と書いてたので、ちょっとドキドキしましたが、運よく熊もクーガーも出くわしませんでした。ほっ。

Cross Iron Mills Outlet Shopping Mall...

 

This was just on the way back from south to Edmonton.  Its neighbor city is actually Calgary. I'm not that shopping butterfly but really like its ambiance. First I entered in Outdoor World.  All the wild animal displays and a kind of open space welcomed me. All the hunting stuffs were upstairs.  I found it very Albertan. On the day I visit was around Father's Day.  A blast of sale and long line. Outside, some kind of event for kid's hockey were going on. At the food court, there were 4 seasons trees of panels.  That's interesting. If you have a chance to drive down or up, then this is great place to shop.

エドモントンに帰る途中に、カルガリー近辺だと思いますが、アウトレットモール発見。そんなに、典型的なショッピングマニアではないのですが、ここのアウトレットなかなか感じがいいです。Outdoor Worldというアウトドア、ハンティングの店舗も併設していて、いきなり入ると、動物やハンティングのディスプレイが非常に自然に豪快なセッティングで迎えてくれます。アルバータやなぁ。と思う瞬間でした。ちょうど父の日だったのか、どこも大セール中に人の行列。フードコートには、木の四季の移り変わりをパネルでセッティング。風情ですなぁ。外では、ホッケー姿のお子様達がいっぱいでした。足をのばす機会があればぜひ、お薦め。
